Features
Aftertone for iPhone and Android is now available
Aftertone now has apps for iPhone and Android. Inbox, Calendar, Focus and Chat with Ask Aftertone sit in the tab bar, and the calendar tab can switch to the planning board. Add a task from any screen with the + button, and talk to Ask Aftertone by voice. Download it from the App Store or Google Play.
Morning review is now available
Open Morning review from the sidebar to plan your day in a few steps. Say how you are feeling, move overdue tasks to Today, Tomorrow or Later, look at what is on, choose what matters most and write one line for the day. Press ⌘Enter to move through each step, then Start my day.
Evening wind-down is now available
Close the day by looking back at what you got done, deciding what happens to the rest, planning tomorrow and noting how the day felt, then Shut down for the day. Both rituals keep a streak and a history of your past reviews.
A new Aftertone for Mac
Aftertone for Mac has been rebuilt and replaces the previous app in place. It now checks for updates on its own, and you can check any time from Check for Updates… in the menu bar.
Flow View opens over every app
Double-tap Command to open Flow View over any app, including full-screen ones, and hold fn or Control+Option for Voice Mode. A new Flow View section in Settings lets you turn double-tap Command on or off and grant the Accessibility access it needs. The menu bar icon now opens Flow View and shows the time left on your current task.
Ask Aftertone button
Ask Aftertone now lives in a button at the bottom right of the app, or press ⌘J. It is also in Flow View's command bar, where you can paste screenshots, and a new clear button starts a fresh conversation.
Improvements
Web shortcuts
Browsers keep a few shortcuts for themselves, so Aftertone on the web now uses its own keys for Schedule Now and Edit Task Time, and ⌘J, ⌘K, ⌘E and others no longer get taken by the browser.
Get the Mac app from the web
A Download Mac app row in the sidebar and a Mac app section in Settings take you straight to the download. If you sign up on your phone's browser, Aftertone points you to your Mac to finish setting up.
Choose which calendars to sync
Pick which calendars to sync from each connected account right in setup, which has also been redesigned.
The event editor on phone browsers
On phone browsers, the event editor now sits as a card above the keyboard, with its pickers floating above it.
Fixes
Bug fixes and reliability improvements
Dragging a task on the calendar no longer lands it an hour off on days the clocks change. Smart Zoning previews now land in the right column, and holding ⌘↓ scrolls more smoothly.
